Beautiful Things

Here are some screen caps of views from me flying on Flight Simulator. I decided I could start sharing those with you from time to time, for fun. :-)

Take off, somewhere.

Ok, so some of these are old, and I don't remember where they were taken. It's a fun program, though, has the whole world programmed in there!
Next time on Beautiful Things... my new hobby, container gardening (gardening with pots). :-)

Hello,
It looks like you've been doing some posting since the last time I was on here. I'm a couple of days off, but happy birthday!

Thanks for the recent posts on my blog. It reminded me that I needed to take a fresh look at yours. Actually, I'd been thinking of it for a few days, but this week, all I’ve wanted to do when I got lunch was read comics. It’s just been one of those kinds of weeks. Besides the dailies I get on iGoogle, I’ve also been going through Looking for Group (www.lfgcomic.com) and I decided to start at the beginning of Penny Arcade (www.penny-arcade.com).

So freaky that I had been thinking of contacting you, but you got to it first. Then, I read about you doing container gardening, and we’re ramping up for our first garden this Spring (got most of our seeds, the bed was tilled in the fall, planning to get the planting schedule finalized this weekend). Then, I see you’ve posted pictures of Flight Simulator. I just got that installed last weekend and am going through the tutorials and training flights. Am I always just playing catch-up to you, or what? It looks like your graphics card must be a bit beefier than mine; my flight sim screens don’t look nearly that nice. Hmmm, time for an upgrade.

Happy belated anniversary. Those are some nice family pictures you guys did. Yes, I have to find those old sr. project tapes and our regular VHS home movies. I’m glad that I’m finally getting around to getting our analog converted to digital. We got all our hi-8 tapes converted to DVD (raw only). I’m going to try to get a compilation DVD created in the next couple of weekends, before we go to FL for a visit. We’re about to get a digital camcorder, so we may soon have some short clips to post (and no more need to convert). Yeah!

Well, my lunch hour is nearing its conclusion, so I’ll sign off. I’m glad to hear you’re in good spirits. Take care, mi amiga.
